Product Manager

The ideal Product Manager candidate is a fast-moving individual who is excited about wearing many hats. This person is a creative thinker, resourceful problem solver, and thrives while working with a cross-functional team. This person will bridge our functional teams (curriculum, data science, engineering, sales, marketing, etc) and transform feedback and market needs into products, features, and experiences. This person is able to think in terms of the big picture, and also able deliver on the details. This role reports to the Director of Product.
Responsibilities
- Defining product roadmap and priorities
- Scoping, spec writing, and phasing product requirements
- Maintain a global team mindset, communicate regularly with our colleagues in China to ensure designs have global appeal
- Translate stakeholder feedback into tangible product specifications and wireframes
- Work closely with designers to generate attractive, intuitive, and well-documented designs for the engineering teams to implement
- Communicate and collaborate directly and with internal stakeholders (curriculum, sales, engineering, data etc)
- Prioritizing, clarifying, and triaging bugs
- Advising product design and technical architecture
- Fostering an open and inclusive product development culture
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years experience in product management
- Adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Have a strong blend of business and technology skills
- Highly analytical - comfortable with data and data visualizations
- Dynamic individual with great teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Have an eye for UI/UX and able to collaborate closely with designers
- Excellent judgment: know which details matter, and which do not
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in designing ed-tech products
- Technical background or related experience, and ability to weigh in on engineering discussions
- Independent, proactive, and able to drive quickly to data-informed decisions
- Familiar with payment and/or Salesforce integrations
- Prior experience designing products for a global market (US, China, India, etc)
- Open to travel to China
- Prior experience in a startup
